1. JOHN¹ BONASS was born Abt. 1853 in Co. Meath. He married BRIDGET FITZSIMONS. She was born Abt. 1851 in Co. Meath, and died Bet. 1901 - 1911.

Notes for JOHN BONASS:

From the census of 1911 we get his age of 60 making his DOB about 1853. We also get his profession as a Labourer ( Flour Stone), his original home was Co Meath and his wife was dead by 1911. His parish in 1911 was Grange Gorman in the parish of College Green. The 1901 census on micro film is inaccurate and so the originals are still to be checked.

The marriage certificate shows Christophers profession as a ?. His address was 25 Kirwan Street and his best man was William ?. His father is listed as John Bonass also a ?.Annie Brennan lived at 74 Eccles Street. Her bridesmaid was Mary Bonass , Christophers sister. The census for 1901 & 1911 shows no Brennan at 74 Eccles Street.

3. CHRISTOPHER³ BONASS (CHRISTOPHER², JOHN¹) was born 07 Dec 1910, and died 13 Jun 2002 in Bray Co Wicklow. He married GABRIEL MANGAN 30 Sep 1939, daughter of JOESPH MANGAN and MARY MCGOWAN. She was born 16 Dec 1910, and died 23 Apr 2003 in Dublin.

Notes for CHRISTOPHER BONASS:

Christopher was a committed Trade Unionist being very involved in the Irish Transport And General Workers Union ITGWU. He was a lover of chess in his latter years would play games over the phone with his chess friends, these games would last many hours but local calls were not charged by their length in those days. He was involved in a conservation group to protect the scenic area along the Vico road in Dalkey ( which remains un-spoilt to this day). Although a committed beliver in a 32 county Ireland his involvement in Ireland's history was kept to Political legal battles , which culminated in his gaining release by the British authorities for prisoners serving life in English prisons.

Gabrielle was a very good looking young lady who was trained as a seamstress and milliner. She was involved in a motor car accident in Stillorgan resulting in very serious injuries and the prediction that she may never be able to have children. Christopher proposed marriage to her and was told to wait for a reply while she spent the £ 2000 compensation she received on a family holiday to Lourdes. She accepted, pennyless, upon her return.

Notes for ANTHONY BAKER:

Anthony is a perfectionist when it comes to Hobbies. As a young married couple Mary and Tony purchased a puppy Golden Retriever. They started showing "Chief" and he became an English and Irish champion while Tony became a Judge. This was followed by Amateur radio (ham Radio) where he was awarded a DXCC ( for contacting a total of not less than 95% of available contries) and having the voice qualities to read the weekly news. His achievements in Home Brew beer are infamous and could not be printed here. He is at present taking on Bill Gates in his battle with understanding Computers.

9. CHRISTOPHER BRENDAN⁴ BONASS (CHRISTOPHER³, CHRISTOPHER², JOHN¹) was born 04 May 1946. He married (1) MARGARET TWOMEY. He met (2) GAIL MAHON. She was born 16 Oct 1963.

Notes for CHRISTOPHER BRENDAN BONASS:

Brendan played Guitar (left handed) for Stepaside, a local band who archived success in the Irish Charts. His playing days were hampered by a car crash in which his arm was broken ( the car was driven by Johney Logan , the Double Eurovision Song Contest Winner).

He now runs his own advertising company.
